ARTIST STATEMENT:
“The vibrant colors originally found in nature are what sparks that main inspiration for me to create in order to mirror that same vibrant energy into my paintings. There is no comparison to what the healing powers of nature can do when humans enter the sacred spaces of nature physically, but when we bring creative works inspired by nature into our dwellings, our workspaces, and public spaces (from schools to hospitals to coffee shops, etc) they give the potential to uplift our senses and help us become more connected with nature. If we don’t have access or ability at the very moment to go hike a local trail or explore new terrain abroad as we go about our daily lives, it’s important that we continue to honor not only nature’s beauty through works of art but also deepen our inner connectedness we have to nature as human beings. We need to keep taking care of one another to continue eliminating that separation that has become an illusion in our modern way of living. I believe artwork inspiring this connection to nature that lives inside every human is essential to strengthen that connection.”
